How To Determine Which Model of Nursery
Jaws To Choose
By asking the right questions, you can
easily determine which Nursery Jaws best fit your operation.
For example, a small landscaper with a 1200lb. lift capacity loader does
not need a Nursery Jaws 2 - Pallet Fork Option.
Conversely, a large wholesaler with a 3000lb. capacity loader should not
have a Nursery Jaws Jr. There are,
of course, exceptions to every rule, but, here are a few guidelines to follow.

What materials will the mini handle? Up to 32"
B&B, plastic containers & small rocks, depending on the loader.
Loader requirements? Compact Mini Skid Steers only 500-800lb capacity
Characteristics of the Mini Jaws? Lightweight (100lbs) for compact
loaders, compact for use in tight spaces (30"-42" forks) and narrow
fork spacing (parallel at 17").

What material s will the NJ Jr handle? Up to
36" B&B, 20"-24" boxes, plastic containers, small rocks and
boulders.
Loader requirements? 1500lbs rated capacity and less
Characteristics of the Nursery Jaws Jr? Lightweight (400-450lbs) for
smaller loaders, compact for use in tight spaces (50" or 66" forks)
and narrow fork spacing (parallel at 18").

What material s will the NJ 1 handle? Up to 44"
B&B, 24" boxes, plastic containers, small rocks and boulders.
Loader requirements? 1500-2500lbs rated capacity
Characteristics of the Nursery Jaws 1? Simple to use, durable, same side
loading and unloading (66" or 72" forks), double stacking and
planting.

What material s will the NJ 2 handle? Up to 50"
B&B, 32" boxes (up to 36" with the expanded model), plastic
containers, grow-bags, rocks and boulders.
Loader requirements? 1500-3000lbs rated capacity
Characteristics of the Nursery Jaws 2? It has 2 functions to adjust the
parallel width of the forks. This allows for easier handling of small, large and
multiple B&B, boxes and container trees, same side loading and unloading
(66" or 72" forks), planting, placing large boulders and building
boulder retainer walls.

What material s will the Next Generation NJ handle?
Up to 65" B&B, 36" boxes (up to 48" with the expanded model),
plastic containers, grow-bags, rocks and boulders up to 2 1/2 tons.
Loader requirements? 2000-4500lbs rated capacity
Characteristics of the Next Generation NJ? It has 2 functions to adjust
the parallel width of the forks. but has a wider range of adjustment than the NJ
2. It can handle materials either by using the pivot fork or parallel movement
of the pivot arm. same principle as NJ 2 with increase capability, capacity and
durability.

What material s will the Nj Hybrid handle? Up to
60"
B&B, 32" boxes, plastic containers, grow-bags and boulders.
Loader requirements? 1500-3000lbs rated capacity
Characteristics of the NJ Hybrid? Load, move and plant B&B, boxed and
container trees, boulders and move pallets. Manually adjustable pivot point
allows for wider and narrower parallel spacing than the Nursery Jaws
2.
